Deathwish.

Looks like my wish is finally coming true,
The fire’s fueled from inside, responsible are you.
I’ll remove my organs one by one,
First the guts, and then the lungs;
I’ll put the heart in a special jar, just for you.
All left will be a hollow body, bones and sinew.
I’m filling my veins with your venomous poison,
In hopes it’ll preserve my body from the wrath of Poseidon.
I’ll throw myself into the sea, to rest on a different shore,
Away from you, but there’s no chance you’ll care anymore.

  1. Heart breaking and thought provoking images. Only a tortured soul can write like this. You should visit Delhi and be my guest. I am sure we will find lot of things common about us except the fact I grew up in terrible poverty πŸ˜› . You reminded me of a poem by Stevie Smith :

    Not Waving but Drowning

Nobody heard him, the dead man,
    But still he lay moaning:
I was much further out than you thought
    And not waving but drowning.

Poor chap, he always loved larking
    And now he’s dead
It must have been too cold for him his heart gave way,
    They said.

Oh, no no no, it was too cold always
(Still the dead one lay moaning)
I was much too far out all my life
    And not waving but drowning.
